A. Explanation. Publication 51 is a condensed reference of general mailing information and current prices and fees for items being mailed from the United States of America to foreign countries. It provides the most commonly sought international mailing information in a brief, easy–to–read, and easy–to–find format. The U.S. Postal Service^® strives to provide customers with added value, such as easily accessible information about our products and services. We will continue to provide affordable, universal service — when and where you need it.

B. Availability.

• Public users may obtain copies of Publication 51 at a local Post Office™. This publication is also accessible on the Postal Explorer^® Web site at
  http://pe.usps.com; under “International Mail,” click on Prices and Fees.
• Postal Service™ personnel may place orders for Publication 51 with the Material Distribution Center (MDC). This publication is also available on the corporate internet at http://blue.usps.gov; under “Essential Links,” click on Postal Explorer.
