Registered Mail

Registered Mail service provides security and limited indemnity protection for all types of First–Class Mail International items except for M–bags (direct sacks of printed matter to a single addressee).

This optional extra service is not available with Priority Mail International parcel service or Express Mail International service. It is available for the Priority Mail International flat–rate envelope. Registered Mail items can be sent to all destination countries except to the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea (North Korea), Iraq, the Republic of Montenegro, and Somalia.

All destination countries have an indemnity limit of $45.51 and a registered fee of $10.80. See IMM 330 for additional details, or consult your local Post Office.
