Prohibitions (130)
Alcoholic liquids.
All arms and ammunition and parts and accessories thereof.
Currencies of the Republic of Belarus and the Russian Federation.
Explosive or combustible substances or other dangerous matter.
Metallized yarn made with or made of gold thread; ornamental trimming or woven fabric made with or made of gold thread.
Opium and other substances containing narcotics.
Perishable food products.
Perishable infectious substances.
Perishable noninfectious substances.
Photographic and cinematographic films, undeveloped photographic plates, photographic paper.
Printed books, newspapers, pictures and other products of the printing industry; manuscripts, typescripts, and plans containing information that may be harmful to the political and economic interests of the country and to the health and morality of its citizens.
Radioactive materials.
The government of Belarus has instituted a temporary ban against the importation of all animal products that are for human and animal consumption. This includes meats, poultry, milk and dairy products, feeds, and other animal byproducts.
Tobacco and manufactured tobacco products.
Restrictions
Articles subject to customs duty may not be sent in ordinary or registered First-Class Mail International items, including the Priority Mail International flat-rate envelope.
Cancelled and uncancelled stamps may be sent as part of a prescribed philatelic exchange.
Coins, bank notes, currency notes (paper money); securities of any kind payable to bearer; traveler’s checks, platinum, gold, and silver (manufactured or not); precious stones, jewelry, and other valuable articles are admitted only in insured Priority Mail International parcels. Importation of foreign currency is limited to a maximum equivalent of 200 USD.
Medicaments and vitamin preparations require authorization issued by the Public Health of Belarus.
Veterinary preparations, biological materials, and collectors’ items of animal origin require written authorization issued by the State Veterinary Inspectorate of the Ministry of Agriculture and Foods in Belarus.
Observations
Depending on the nature and origin, many articles are regulated and admitted only on presentation of permission from the authorized bodies in Belarus.
