Country Conditions for Mailing - Liberia

Effective February 14, 2000, partial service was resumed to Liberia. Mail service is currently limited to the following items:

• Airmail letter-post, including postcards, postal cards, and aerogrammes.

• Airmail M-bags.

• Airmail parcel post.

• International Priority Airmail (IPA).

• Global Express Guaranteed (GXG).

• Global Express Mail (EMS).

All economy (surface) mail services continue to be suspended.

Prohibitions (130)

Coins; banknotes; currency notes (paper money); securities payable to bearer; traveler's checks, platinum, gold or silver, manufactured or not; precious stones; jewelry; and other valuable articles unless sent in insured parcel post.

Restrictions

Pharmaceutical products are admitted only under prior permit from the National Public Health Dept., Official Bag 9009, Monrovia.
