UPDATE 157: International Mail Service Updates Related to COVID-19

On April 13, 2021, the Postal Service™ received a notification from Croatian Post the designated operator of Croatia advising that, as of April 5, 2021, it has introduced a special procedure for postal items that are subject to signature upon delivery. If the postman/woman considers that delivery of the postal item will endanger their safety, or if the recipient refuses direct contact with the postman/woman or is self-isolating, the recipient will be asked for the number of their identity document, which will be entered in the delivery log in the place provided for the recipient’s signature.

Unless otherwise noted, service updates to a particular country do not affect delivery of military and diplomatic mail.

This service update affects Priority Mail Express International® (PMEI), Priority Mail International® (PMI), First-Class Mail International® (FCMI), First-Class Package International Service® (FCPIS®), International Priority Airmail® (IPA®), International Surface Air Lift® (ISAL®), and M-Bag® items.

The DMM Advisory will continue to provide updates as they are received. For a full list of international service disruptions, please visit https://about.usps.com/newsroom/service-alerts/international/welcome.htm
