UPDATE 251: International Mail Service Updates Related to COVID-19
On October 11, 2022, the Postal Service™ received a notification from Correos y Telégrafos, the designated operator of Spain, advising that in accordance with the decisions taken regarding public health measures (discontinuation of sanitary controls on arrival in Spain), and given the improvements in terms of transport capacity, its operations have almost completely returned to normal. Therefore, letter-post and parcel-post items to most UPU member countries and territories are being processed without restrictions, and normal operations have resumed. However, delays may continue to be experienced for certain items to destinations still affected by limited air transport capacity or transit availability.
Unless otherwise noted, service updates to a particular country do not affect delivery of military and diplomatic mail.
This service update affects Priority Mail Express International® (PMEI), Priority Mail International® (PMI), First-Class Mail International® (FCMI), First-Class Package International Service® (FCPIS®), International Priority Airmail® (IPA®), International Surface Air Lift® (ISAL®), and M-Bag® items.
The DMM Advisory will continue to provide updates as they are received. For a full list of international service disruptions, please visit https://about.usps.com/newsroom/service-alerts/international/welcome.htm
