Today the Federal Register published our proposal [HTML] [PDF] for new mailing standards on Eligibility for Commercial Flats Failing Deflection, which we posted previously on Postal Explorer.

We encourage customers to review and comment on or before January 13, 2010 by writing to the Manager of Mailing Standards, U.S. Postal Service, 475 L'Enfant Plaza SW, Room 3436, Washington DC 20260-3436.

In addition to mailing or delivering them to the office of Mailing Standards, you also can submit comments via e-mail to MailingStandards@usps.gov. When commenting by e-mail, please indicate “Deflection Comments” in the subject line.
