UPDATE 178: International Mail Service Updates Related to COVID-19
On June 16, 2021, the Postal Service™ received a notification from Pošta Slovenije, the designated operator of Slovenia, advising that the lockdown has ended as of June 15, 2021. Since the risk of spreading COVID-19 remains, most of the preventive measures will be maintained, and Pošta Slovenije will continue to provide postal services in line with national public health guidelines and restrictions. The acceptance of outbound mail items (letter post, parcel post and EMS) for some destinations remains subject to transport availability. Consequently, Pošta Slovenije is declaring the situation of force majeure to be at an end.
Unless otherwise noted, service updates to a particular country do not affect delivery of military and diplomatic mail.
This service update affects Priority Mail Express International® (PMEI), Priority Mail International® (PMI), First-Class Mail International® (FCMI), First-Class Package International Service® (FCPIS®), International Priority Airmail® (IPA®), International Surface Air Lift® (ISAL®), and M-Bag® items.
The DMM Advisory will continue to provide updates as they are received. For a full list of international service disruptions, please visit https://about.usps.com/newsroom/service-alerts/international/welcome.htm
