UPDATE 182: International Mail Service Updates Related to COVID-19
On June 28, 2021, Australia Post, the designated operator of Australia, provided notification that it is experiencing disruptions to its daily operations due to new emergency measures imposed by the government to minimize the spread of COVID-19. These measures, which include lockdowns, state border closures and restrictions on movement, are causing disruption with airlines and other transportation providers, directly impacting quality for inbound international letter post services (LC/AO). Therefore, effective June 28, 2021, Australia Post is declaring force majeure for all inbound international letter post services.
Unless otherwise noted, service updates to a particular country do not affect delivery of military and diplomatic mail.
This service update affects Priority Mail Express International® (PMEI), Priority Mail International® (PMI), First-Class Mail International® (FCMI), First-Class Package International Service® (FCPIS®), International Priority Airmail® (IPA®), International Surface Air Lift® (ISAL®), and M-Bag® items.
