UPDATE 185: International Mail Service Updates Related to COVID-19
On July 15, 2021, the Postal Service™ received a notification from Thailand Post, the designated operator of Thailand that, as a result of a significant number of new COVID-19 infections, the Government of Thailand has extended the nationwide state of emergency until September 30, 2021. Thailand Post will continue to provide postal services but will be operating with a reduced workforce and in line with the new restrictions and safety guidelines which may have impacts on mail processing for international inbound and outbound items and service delivery standards. Additionally, force majeure continues to apply until further notice.
Unless otherwise noted, service updates to a particular country do not affect delivery of military and diplomatic mail.
This service update affects Priority Mail Express International® (PMEI), Priority Mail International® (PMI), First-Class Mail International® (FCMI), First-Class Package International Service® (FCPIS®), International Priority Airmail® (IPA®), International Surface Air Lift® (ISAL®), and M-Bag® items.
The DMM Advisory will continue to provide updates as they are received. For a full list of international service disruptions, please visit https://about.usps.com/newsroom/service-alerts/international/welcome.htm
