UPDATE 189: International Mail Service Updates Related to COVID-19
On August 12, 2020, the Postal Service™ received a notification from PHLPost, the designated operator for the Philippines, advising that as a result of the lockdown imposed by the Philippine Government in the National Capital Region from August 6 to 20, 2021, and other areas of the country from August 1, delays are expected in the processing, transport and/or delivery of inbound postal items.
Unless otherwise noted, service updates to a particular country do not affect delivery of military and diplomatic mail.
This service update affects Priority Mail Express International® (PMEI), Priority Mail International® (PMI), First-Class Mail International® (FCMI), First-Class Package International Service® (FCPIS®), International Priority Airmail® (IPA®), International Surface Air Lift® (ISAL®), and M-Bag® items.
