The purpose of Courtesy Reply Mail (CRM) is to move the reply mail piece through the system using high-speed automation equipment. This ensures that you receive the CRM reply piece from the customer as soon as possible.
You should follow the standards for automated processing when designing CRM. Reply envelopes often contain a monetary payment. A properly designed CRM envelope ensures expeditious and accurate delivery - a true "bottom line" feature.
