Extra services are enhancements that provide greater security and accountability for mail, convenience for the sender, and special handling options. Some extra services include insurance, Certified Mail, COD, Registered Mail, Adult Signature, USPS Tracking, Signature Confirmation and more. Fees for extra services are in addition to postage.

Extra services can only be used with specific classes of mail. Your local Post Office and the links below can help you decide if adding extra services to your mailpieces is the right choice for your business or organization. Extra services cannot be used with Periodicals.
