46 Animal-Fighting Ventures

461 Definitions

The following definitions apply:

1. Animal: Any live bird, dog, or other mammal (except human) for the purposes of participating in an animal-fighting venture.
2. Animal-Fighting Venture: Any event involving or affecting interstate or foreign commerce where a fight is conducted or intended between at least two animals for purposes of sport, wagering, or entertainment. This excludes activities primarily involving animals hunting other animals.
3. Animal-Fighting Accessory: A knife, gaff, or other sharp instrument attached to or intended to be attached, to a bird‘s leg in an animal-fighting venture.
4. Animal-Fighting Matter: Written, printed, or graphic matter (e.g., advertisements or other commercial speech) promoting or furthering an animal-fighting venture.
